MAD Drama

The Cappies, also known as the "Critics and Awards Program," is a program that provides training to high school theater students who aspire to become critics. This program offers these students the opportunity to attend theater performances at various schools, enabling them to hone their critical thinking skills and write reviews. The best of these reviews are subsequently published in local newspapers or other media outlets. Furthermore, at the conclusion of the academic year, the student critics participate in an awards voting process. The most outstanding individual and group contributions are acknowledged and celebrated at the Cappies Gala, held at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
